Year in Review: New Slang Reader’s Poll

Editor-in-Chief

As you’ve most likely noticed, we’ve started our End of the Year (and possibly End of the World) coverage. We kicked it off this week with our Top 40 Lubbock Songs of the Year. We’ll soon be beginning other years where we’ll try and tackle the year in music, both locally and worldwide. But as fun as lists are, we’ll be doing more than that. We’ll be including interviews with a number of artists, focusing on their 2012, and with others, looking towards 2013.

And while it’s fun giving our music opinions, we also want to hear your opinions on music of 2013. This will be our Reader’s Poll for the 2012. We’ll keep it short and concise. Since we’re not Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, or a giant music publication, we’ll have to receive this data, the “old-fashioned way,” by e-mail. Once finished, email us at newslang.editors@gmail.com with the subject titled “New Slang Reader’s Poll.”  Just copy & paste the form here.

The deadline is Saturday, January 5, 2013. We’ll be posting the results shortly there after.
