Last Monday, four singer-songwriters–Daniel Davis, Daniel Payne, Jerry Serrano, and Jon Young–moved on to the Finals in the Blue Light Spring Singer-Songwriter Competition. Tonight, another group of up-and-comers will be looking to join them there.
Tonight will be the second of three preliminary rounds happening. 14 songwriters will be performing two songs a piece tonight at The Blue Light. The 14 will be the following:
Zoe Carter, Joe Castner, Eddie Esler, Brad Hargrove, Dylan Jones, Jonathan Jones, Corey Killough, Jake Martin, Matt Morgan, Logan Samford, Lori Sealy, Landon Scoggins, Zack Smith, and Dillon Taylor.
Doors open at 9 p.m. Music will start promptly at 10 p.m.
Additionally, we’d love to go ahead and get everyone familiar with our intentions of creating a listening room atmosphere for these specific dates. This is ultimately a songwriter competition which values the craft of lyrics, storytelling, vocals, mood, emotion, and feeling. That essentially means giving the one performing our absolute attention and observation. In short, shut up and listen.
