2014 has been a pretty damn good year in music when it comes to artists from the Panhandle area. There wasn’t much, if any, drop off from an especially strong 2013, which included mega-albums released by Daniel Markham, William Clark Green, and Amanda Shires.
We’ll be starting up our Year in Review coverage next week, but before diving into our favorite Lubbock-area albums, extended plays, and singles, we’re announcing that we’ll be giving away an exclusive New Slang giveaway of some of those favorites that ended up on those lists.
We’re still working on adding a few albums, EPs, and singles to this giveaway, but so far, the winner can expect music from the following artists*:
Bad Elastic, John Edward Baumann, Justin Michael Bell, Casey Berry, Blacksmiths, Wade Bowen, Lindsey Brooke, Phlip Coggins, Ross Cooper, Dalton Domino, DRAGG, The Foxfire Experiment, The Goners, Hayden Huse, Cody Jasper, Judiciary, Benton Leachman, Jenni Dale Lord Band, The Man & The Medicine, Daniel Markham, Dave Martinez, Kenneth O’Meara, Outlier, David L. Puga, Mitch Rambo, Landon Scoggins, Slow Relics, Spivey, Strangetowne, Sugarwitch, Western Plaza, Zac Wilkerson, and Erick Willis.
To say the least, it’s going to be a pretty nice haul.
To enter said giveaway, you’ll need to do the following things:
1) Email your name and number to firstname.lastname@example.org (Subject Line: New Slang 2014 Music Giveaway).
3) Share this article on Facebook and/or Twitter.
The winner(s) will be announced Friday, December 26. Be sure to check out our local Best of 2014 lists starting next Monday, December 22 as well.
