This past Friday, American Aquarium and openers Stewart Mann & The Statesboro Revue played in front of some 300 of Lubbock’s finest. It’d been a while since AA had played The Blue Light (and Lubbock for that matter), but it was certainly worth the wait for the Raleigh, North Carolina-based rock band. Friday’s appearance marked the first in a long string of Texas dates (AA will be in the state for the majority of March. Tour dates here.)
Lead vocalist/guitarist BJ Barham and company sprinkled in a handful of new tunes throughout their blazing set. They’ll be going in to record the follow up to their critically acclaimed and breakout record Burn.Flicker.Die. later this year.
Here’s a handful of highlights from that night. You can view our entire catalog of photographs from the night on our official Flickr page here. All photos by Landan Luna/New Slang.
