Ft. Worth staples Green River Ordinance and recent Ft. Worth upstarts Grady Spencer & The Work took the stage at The Blue Light this past February 22 to a packed house. The Work’s opening slot was a pleasant surprise considering Spencer had said last time they were in town (Jan. 17) would be their last Lubbock show until the fall (Spencer and his wife are expecting their first child.) The Work’s bluesy grit started the night off early. GRO’s crisp, refreshing folk echoed out the Blue Light doors and out onto the street as a winter breeze blew down Buddy Holly.
Here’s a handful of highlights from that night. You can view our entire catalog of photographs from the night on our official Flickr page. Green River Ordinance photos here and Grady Spencer & The Work photos here. All photos by Landan Luna of New Slang.
