News: Middle Child Records Notes

by: Thomas D. Mooney

The second annual Chapafest lineup was announced earlier this month, expanding into a two-day affair at Bash’s on April 5 and 6. Chapafest, named after Middle Child Records founder Marcus Chapa, was started by local musicians and friends of Chapa after he tragically lost his life in a car wreck last year.

This year, the lineup includes a plethora of Lubbock and West Texas artists who were friends, contemporaries, and artists influenced and effected by Chapa and the DIY indie Lubbock music scene. Each evening, music starts at 7pm and concludes at around 1:30am. 21 and up get in free. 18-20 get in for $5. For more details, check out the Facebook event here
