Around this time last month, Viva Big Bend announced their first wave of artists playing at their first music festival down in Alpine and Marfa. Today, they announced the rest of the lineup, which includes Lubbock singer-songwriter Jay Boy Adams & The Roadhouse Scholars, Bonnie Bishop, Brennen Leigh, Drew Kennedy, Leo Rondeau, Matt The Electrician, Mike Kelly, Mingo Fishtrap, Morry Sochat & the Special 20s, Owen Temple, Patrice Pike, Philip Q. Morrow, Texas Tornados, Texas Tycoons, The Hickoids, Uncle Lucius, and Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros.
The first announcement included: Bob Schneider, Dale Watson, Doodlin’ Hogwallups, Doug Moreland, El Tule, Folk Family Revival, Ghosts Along the Brazos, Graham Wilkinson, Guy Forsyth, Luke Olson, Matt Skinner, Mike & the Moonpies, Miss Julia & the Cruzers, Morry Sochat & the Special 20s, Sam Sliva & The Good, Seryn, Sideshow Tramps, Sons of Fathers, Soul Track Mind, Terri Hendrix, The Border Blasters, The Lonesome Heroes, and The O’s.
Currently, the music festival will be showcased at a number of venues in both Alpine and Marfa, including: Railroad Blues (Alpine), Granada Theatre (Alpine), Reata Restaurant (Alpine), Padre’s (Marfa), Planet Marfa (Marfa), Kokernot Field (Alpine) and the USO Hall (Marfa).
