News: Texas Music Magazine

The Spring 2012 edition of Texas Music Magazine recently came out. In what is their 50th issue, they compiled a number (well, two actually) of “Top 50” lists, a “Top 50 Classic Texas Songs” list and a “50 Essential Texas Albums.” Obviously (and maybe not so obviously for others), a handful of artists with Lubbock ties are sprinkled throughout both lists.

I’ve gone ahead and “Spotifyed” both lists for those of you who want to hear these lists as well.

Also, a note on the lists. It seems as though they only picked one album/song per artist on each of the lists. Had they not, I’m sure you would have had a “Top 50 Classic Texas Songs” list dominated by Townes Van Zandt, Buddy Holly, and Willie Nelson, which may or may have not been better.
